Challenge

Cogniteq was tasked by Montresa to develop an iOS app for Emergency Watch, a wristwatch designed for triggering alarms in emergencies. Montresa provided the Android app source code and documentation for reference.

Key Points:

Montresa aims to replace traditional emergency call devices with a stylish wristwatch.
The Emergency Watch has a single button with actions set for single-tap, double-tap, and long-press events.
Actions include calling an emergency contact, sending an email with GPS coordinates, and playing a sound.

Solution

The Cogniteq team successfully developed the Emergency Watch app for iOS, focusing on usability and ease of use. The app logic involves sending BLE messages upon button presses, categorized as single-click, double-click, or long hold.

Key Features:

First-time setup involves connecting the smartwatch to the app via Bluetooth, with a user-friendly pairing process.
The main menu includes sections for assigning actions to buttons, viewing action assignments, and accessing help texts.
Actions are organized into groups and assigned to specific button presses, with user permissions required for certain actions.
Design adheres to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, with language localization available.
Settings allow users to configure button actions, set watch time, unpair devices, and delete actions.
Analytics track user interaction with button actions using Firebase Analytics.
Communication actions include playing a loud sound, sending an alert with location updates and initiating a phone call.

Results

Within 1.5 months, our client got a fully developed and tested functionality of the iOS app.
User feedback reports on the smooth-running app, a convenient and pretty easy-to-use solution for older adults and their families.

Challenge

Our client contacted our team with a request to build a web application that will help patients quickly and easily find therapists based on their needs and requirements and get consultations in one of two convenient formats

The project consisted of two parts. The first included developing a web app, while the second involved creating a related website.

Solution

We developed a web application to match patients with suitable therapists, aiming to simplify the process of finding the right professional. The solution was built entirely from scratch.

Key Points:

Users complete a free online assessment to be matched with suitable therapists.
They receive a list of 3 potential therapists and choose the interaction format: video therapy or live text chat.
App integrations include Stripe for secure online transactions and Agora for seamless video sessions.
Notifications are sent to therapists and patients about session bookings, rescheduling, or cancellations.
The website provides information about online therapy and the project.
User accounts allow booking, rescheduling, and payment for appointments, with access to billing and session history.
Therapist accounts include calendars, user views, and session history, with access to earnings via Stripe.

Results

Our team built a feature-rich web solution from scratch that met all of the client’s requirements.
The first version of the app has been successfully released and has been positively welcomed by end-users.
Work continues on the project, and new features that will enhance the user experience will be added soon.

ALTYN BANK - ALTYN-I MOBILE BANKING APP

Challenge

Altyn Bank, a major bank in Kazakhstan, sought to develop a mobile banking app for its customers. They provided detailed specifications, which we revised significantly to create the solution.

The app’s main goal was to allow clients to manage funds, accounts, make transfers, and apply for various banking services. The bank aimed to achieve three main goals: to serve as a payment aggregator, offer quality customer service, and provide additional services for non-clients.

To mitigate risks and expedite development, we proposed releasing a minimum functionality version within six months, followed by gradual updates.

Solution

Cogniteq developed a banking app for Altyn Bank on iOS and Android platforms with features including payments, balance top-ups, and transfers between accounts and cards.

The app also offers smart automatic payments and subscription tracking for tasks like tax payments. Challenges included custom payment scenarios and ensuring security through authentication mechanisms and 3D Secure technology.

Testing involved creating test user profiles and simulating various transactions. The app provides 24-hour access to accounts, bill payments, deposits, loans, international transfers, card management, and notifications.

Results

The Altyn-i application became the first mobile bank app in Kazakhstan.
The app now includes all Altyn bank products – accounts, loans, and cards. Customer feedback reports that money transfer has become exceptionally simple and fast. The user can check their account any time and, transfer the required amount to another account.
Because of the successful completion of the project Altyn Bank invited our specialists to work on a project to create a web application for Altyn-i. Today Cogniteq is responsible for the optimization and implementation of the web part of the project.
As planned our further cooperation will result in expanding the mobile app functionality developing money transfers by phone number, adding cash back, accumulated interest, live chat with operators and more.

Challenge

A UK-based company dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, initiated a project to create an app for their smart home hubs. The goal was to provide individuals with disabilities full control over their smart home appliances.

Solution

Challenge

Our client, a hardware manufacturer specializing in lighting solutions for emergency vehicles, aimed to expand their product range by introducing an Android smartphone application that utilizes Bluetooth LE beacons for tracking assets in emergency vehicles. The objective was to simplify and expedite inventory management for emergency service personnel. Our task was to develop a mobile app to test the concept’s technical feasibility and its usefulness for the target audience.

Solution

We created a mobile app that continuously receives heartbeat signals from Bluetooth LE beacons, displaying signal strength on users’ smartphones. Users can access a list of added vehicles, select one, and view the assets assigned to it.

They can add, edit, and delete vehicles as needed. Within each vehicle, users can view the list of assigned assets, including names, images, descriptions, and statuses (inside, outside, indeterminate).

Results

Our team successfully delivered a feature-rich app, meeting the set requirements through collaboration with the client.
The project is currently in the closed beta stage, with ongoing app refinement and the gradual introduction of new functionality based on testing feedback.
